STRATOVARIUS To Record New Album Later In The Year
February 16, 2006Finnish melodic metallers STRATOVARIUS have posted the following message on their official web site:
"We are getting some rest after the tour but life goes on. We are planning to record a new album later this year, and in connection with that we will also play a few select shows scheduled around the rehearsal and recording sessions. A few of them have already been confirmed."

STRATOVARIUS are continuing to tour in support of their latest, self-titled effort, which was released in the U.S. on September 13 via Sanctuary. A video for the album's first single, "Maniac Dance", was in April 2005 in Helsinki by director and guitarist Timo Tolkki's old schoolmate Antti Jokinen (BEYONCÉ, WYCLEF JEAN, KORN, MISSY ELLIOT, NIGHTWISH, SHANIA TWAIN, CELINE DION).
